The main objective when playing Baccarat is to try and reach as close to 9 points as possible. An Ace counts as 1 point. Cards 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all worth their face value in points and any 10, Jack, Queen or King are all worth zero points.
If the total value of the hand works out to be a two digit number, forget about the first digit because it’s the last digit that counts. For example, 8+5 = 13 points, which is therefore equal to 3 points. Another example is 6+4 = 10, which is therefore equal to zero points.
You have several different betting options available. You can place a bet on the players hand to win, the bankers hand to win, or for the game to end in a tie. Two cards will then be dealt (2 to the player and 2 to the banker). The persons hand closest to 9 points will then win the round. If you happened to place a $5 stake on the bankers hand and that hand wins, you will receive $10.00 (your $5 stake plus $5 winnings).
The betting rules and the odds should be explained to you whenever you attempt to launch this exciting card game at any online casino. In fact, it would be a good idea just to play on this game a few times in the free play demo mode (where possible) just to familiarise yourself with the rules.
